3.5 stars out of 5. This was a cute and short read. Lena has it all: the perfect family, she's going to college, and a great boyfriend, Blake. But one fateful night, she stumbles upon Blake's brother, Slade, while she's naked on the way to the bathroom. She can't deny the attraction she feels, but she knows her boundaries.
But when she gets home and her perfect life crumbles apart when her dad announces he's found another woman and is going to divorce her mother, Lena's beside herself. Heartbroken, she runs to Blake to seek comfort, but finds Slade there instead and the inevitable happens.
Racked with guilt, she breaks ties with Blake and leaves her hometown behind, resettling in Florida with her younger sister and mother. Years later, she returns to her hometown as her father is finally making his union with Charity, the woman he left her mother for, legal.
Lena meets up with old friends and runs into the Finnegan brothers at a party. Will Blake ever find out the real reason Lena left him? Will Slade try anything? What is Lena going to do now?
This was an okay read, but the mention of DIVORCE every other sentence got super tedious fast. It was just too over the top and got in the way of the story. Will definitely check out the next book in the series though. Crossing my fingers they pare down the mention of divorce! :)
